For a long time I have worked each day of the week (proper week, not weekend), I know have fridays off, so to ensure I use them effectively I propose to create a small book every friday I am off work. I have not done this for a long time. It's good fun. These small books bridge a gap between sketch books and actual finished illustrations, and more often than not inform larger pieces or act as research in general. I intend to try a different method each week, this week, collage, from bits and pieces that have accumulated on my desk and floor over the last few weeks
